1Agreement to These Terms
ZAM Academy is a personal mentorship programme for people learning Full Stack Web Development, operated from Malaysia. In these terms, "we", "us" and "ZAM Academy" mean ZAM Academy; "you" means the person enrolling or using this website.
By enrolling, attending a trial class, or continuing to use this website, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not enrol.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must read and accept these terms on your behalf, and is responsible for payment.
2Enrolment & Eligibility
Enrolment usually starts with a free call or trial classes, arranged over WhatsApp. Your place is confirmed once your first payment is received and your mentorship schedule is agreed.
- You must give accurate details when you enrol — name, contact number, email — and keep them up to date.
- Trial classes are free and require no card details. They are offered at our discretion and are limited to new students.
- No prior coding experience is required. The programme is built for complete beginners and for people already working full-time.
- You need a working computer and a stable internet connection. Mentorship sessions run online over video call.
- Your membership is personal to you. You may not share your account, materials, or session access with anyone else.
3What Your Membership Includes
For one monthly fee, and with no hidden extras, your membership includes:
- A structured, self-paced Full Stack Web Development curriculum.
- A weekly 90-minute one-to-one mentorship session with your personal mentor, scheduled around your availability. Students who enrolled before 2 August 2026 keep the session length agreed at the time they joined.
- Weekly learning tasks assigned to you personally and tracked on a shared dashboard.
- Code reviews on the projects you build.
- Async support between sessions via your WhatsApp group. You can message your mentor any day of the week, weekends included, and you will have an answer within 1 hour.
- Access to AI Zami, an AI tutor you can ask coding questions between your mentorship sessions.
- Guidance on using AI coding tools properly as part of a professional workflow.
- Career readiness support — CV, LinkedIn, GitHub portfolio, a personal portfolio site, and a mock interview with real feedback.
- Guidance on earning from your skills: jobs, freelancing, and building your own products.
We may improve, reorder or replace parts of the curriculum over time as the industry changes. Anything we describe as included stays included for as long as your membership is active.
4Mentorship Sessions & Scheduling
The one-to-one session is the heart of the programme, so we are strict about protecting it — for both sides.
- Sessions are scheduled around your availability rather than a fixed class timetable, and are agreed with your mentor in advance.
- Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule. With that notice, we will find you another slot in the same week wherever possible.
- If you miss a session without notice, we will not always be able to replace it that week. Where we cannot, your mentor records a personalised video covering what the session would have covered, so you still move forward.
- If you arrive late, the session still ends at its scheduled time so the next student is not affected.
- If we ever need to cancel or move a session, we will tell you as early as we can and offer you a replacement slot or a recorded alternative at no cost.
- Unused sessions do not roll over or accumulate between months, and are not exchangeable for cash or credit.
5Fees & Billing
- Your fee is the monthly amount shown at the time you enrol. It covers everything listed above — there are no registration fees, materials fees, or exam fees.
- Payment is due at the start of each monthly cycle, in advance. You do not have to pay for several months upfront.
- The learning plan spans about 12 months, but you can join for just one month. Membership continues monthly until you cancel. You can stop at the end of any paid cycle.
- You can optionally pay 3 months upfront for a 10% discount. Prepayments have the same 30-day money-back guarantee; after 30 days the unused balance is not refundable.
- Fees are quoted in both US Dollars and Malaysian Ringgit. You pay in the currency agreed at enrolment. Any bank charges, currency conversion fees, or payment-gateway fees are your responsibility.
- If a payment fails or is late, we will contact you. Access to sessions and materials may be paused until payment is settled.
- If we change our pricing, existing students keep the rate they enrolled at for as long as their membership stays active without a break. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before any change that affects you.
- Founding-student rate: the first 3 students to enrol at the published founding rate keep that rate for as long as they stay continuously enrolled. In exchange, founding students agree to give an honest written review at day 60–90 that we may publish, and to let us showcase their project and progress publicly. The rate is not conditional on the review being positive, and we will identify published founding-student reviews as such.
6Refunds & the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
You get a full 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of your first payment. No questions, no conditions, no forms to fill in.
- Message us on WhatsApp or email us within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund that payment in full.
- You do not need to justify the decision, and it does not matter how many sessions you have already used.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Please allow 7–14 working days for the money to land, depending on your bank.
- The guarantee applies once, to your first month, for your first enrolment.
After the first 30 days, monthly fees already paid are non-refundable and non-transferable because your mentor has reserved time for that cycle. Cancel before your next billing date to avoid another charge.
The 90-Day Momentum Guarantee: if you attend your scheduled sessions and complete the work your mentor sets, and you do not have three projects deployed and publicly reachable on the internet under your own name within 90 days of enrolling, we continue mentoring you at no further charge until you do. "Attend your sessions and complete the work" means attending at least 80% of scheduled sessions and submitting the assigned weekly work; your mentor will confirm in writing at the start whether you are on track. This guarantee is our own commitment about our delivery. It is not a job, salary, or earnings guarantee, and we do not make one.
If something genuinely goes wrong on our side — for example we are unable to deliver your sessions for an extended period — talk to us. We will make it right, whether that means additional sessions, a credit, or a refund.
7Cancelling Your Membership
- You can cancel after any paid month, including your first. There is no cancellation fee or obligation to pay for future months.
- Tell us before your next billing date. We recommend at least 7 days’ notice so we can free up your mentorship slot for someone else.
- When you cancel, you keep full access — sessions, tasks, and support — until the end of the cycle you have already paid for.
- After that, your WhatsApp support and mentorship sessions end, and your dashboard access is closed. The code and projects you built remain yours.
- You are welcome to come back later. Returning students rejoin at the pricing current at that time, and the 30-day guarantee does not apply a second time.
8Referral Programme
If you refer someone who joins ZAM Academy, you earn RM 199.99 in cash. The person you refer gets two free trial classes.
- Send us your friend’s name on WhatsApp before they enrol. We cannot backdate a referral once someone has already signed up on their own.
- The RM 199.99 is paid once your friend completes their enrolment and their first payment clears.
- There is no cap on how many people you can refer, and referral rewards do not expire.
- If your friend takes their 30-day money-back guarantee, the referral reward for that enrolment does not apply, or is deducted from any future reward.
- You may not refer yourself, a duplicate account, or someone who is already a ZAM Academy student. We may withhold rewards where we see clear abuse of the programme.
- We may change or end the referral programme at any time. Rewards already earned before a change will still be honoured.
9Student Conduct & Acceptable Use
We keep this simple: treat your mentor and fellow students the way you would want to be treated.
- Be respectful in sessions, in WhatsApp groups, and anywhere else you represent ZAM Academy.
- Harassment, discrimination, threats, and abusive language are not tolerated.
- Do not use the programme, our materials, or our community to spam, recruit, or promote unrelated products or services.
- Do not use anything you learn here to build or support anything illegal or harmful.
- Come prepared. Mentorship works when you do the tasks between sessions — your mentor can guide you, but cannot learn on your behalf.
10Session Recordings
- Mentorship sessions may be recorded so you can rewatch explanations later. Your mentor will tell you when a session is being recorded.
- If you would prefer not to be recorded, let us know in writing and we will run your sessions without recording.
- Recordings are for your personal learning only. You may not publish, resell, or share them with anyone outside ZAM Academy.
- We may keep recordings internally for quality and mentor training. We do not use a recording publicly without asking you first.
11Course Materials & Intellectual Property
- The curriculum, written materials, task templates, recordings, and everything on this website belong to ZAM Academy.
- While your membership is active you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own learning.
- You may not copy, resell, republish, or teach from our materials, and you may not share them with non-students.
- The code and projects you write are yours. You keep full ownership of your portfolio, your GitHub repositories, and anything you go on to build with what you learn — including work you sell to clients.
- With your permission, we may feature your project, progress, or story in our marketing. We will always ask first, and you can say no or withdraw permission later.
12Learning Outcomes & No Employment Guarantee
We will give you a real mentor, a real curriculum, honest feedback, and genuine career support. What we cannot do is promise an outcome that depends on you and on the job market.
- ZAM Academy does not offer a job guarantee. We do not promise employment, a specific salary, a specific number of freelance clients, or a specific income.
- Results vary with the time you put in, your starting point, and hiring conditions at the time you look. Any student story or testimonial on this site is that person’s experience, not a promise of yours.
- Career support — CV, LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, mock interview — is guidance and preparation. Applying, interviewing, and negotiating are yours to do.
- To the fullest extent allowed by Malaysian law, our total liability to you for any claim connected to the programme is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost income or lost opportunity.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.
13Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or end your membership, with notice where reasonably possible, if:
- Fees remain unpaid after we have contacted you about them.
- You breach the conduct rules above, or behave abusively toward a mentor or another student.
- You share, resell, or republish our course materials or session recordings.
- You repeatedly miss scheduled sessions without notice, to the point where mentorship cannot realistically continue.
Where a membership is ended because of a serious breach, fees already paid for the current cycle are not refunded. Where we end a membership for any other reason, we refund the unused portion of the cycle you have paid for.
14Privacy & Your Data
We handle your personal data in line with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). This section is our privacy policy.
What we collect: your name, email address, phone number, and any details you give us when you enquire, book a call, join the newsletter, or enrol. We also collect basic, anonymised usage data about how this website is used.
Why we collect it: to deliver your mentorship and support, to schedule and run your sessions, to process payments, to answer your questions, to send you updates you asked for, and to improve the website and the programme.
Who we share it with: only the service providers we need to run ZAM Academy — including our database and hosting providers, our email delivery provider, our website analytics providers, and the messaging and task tools we use to run sessions such as WhatsApp and our student dashboard. They process your data on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.
- Analytics on this site are privacy-friendly and aggregate. We use them to understand which pages help people, not to identify you personally.
- Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your membership.
- We keep your data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.
- You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it for marketing. Email us and we will action it.
- We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Testimonials and results: if you give us permission to use your name, photo, or story, you can withdraw that permission at any time by contacting us, and we will remove it from anything we control going forward.
15Third-Party Tools & Services
The programme uses tools built and run by other companies — video calling, WhatsApp, a task dashboard, GitHub, and AI coding assistants among them.
- Your use of those tools is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- We do not control their availability, pricing, or features, and we are not responsible for outages or changes on their side.
- If a tool we rely on becomes unavailable or unsuitable, we will move you to a comparable replacement at no extra cost.
- Some of these tools are free tiers. Where a tool needs a paid account, we will tell you before you rely on it, and we will not treat it as included in your fee unless we have said so.
16Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the programme grows. The current version always lives on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top.
If we make a change that materially affects your rights — pricing, refunds, or what is included — we will tell you directly by email or WhatsApp before it takes effect. Continuing your membership after that point means you accept the updated terms.
17Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Before anything formal, please just talk to us. Almost everything is solved with one honest conversation, and we would much rather sort it out directly than through lawyers.
18Contact Us
Questions about these terms, your membership, a refund, or your data? Reach us directly:
- Email: team.zamacademy@gmail.com
- WhatsApp: +601125608157
Please keep your contact details current — if we cannot reach you at the email or number you gave us, we are not responsible for messages that do not get through.
These terms are written to be read and understood, not to catch anyone out. If any part of them is unclear, message us and we will explain it in plain language before you commit to anything.
