What programming language should I learn first?
For most beginners, Python or JavaScript. Python is the gentler start and is used for automation, backends and AI. JavaScript is the language of the browser, so it's the natural first choice if you mainly want to build websites. Either is a good first language; learning one properly matters more than which one you pick.
What should I learn to become a web developer?
HTML and CSS, then JavaScript, then a small project of your own. After that, a backend framework such as Django, a database with SQL, and deployment, with Git alongside all of it. Frameworks like React are worth learning once plain JavaScript feels comfortable.
How long does it take to learn to code?
It depends on where you start and how many hours you can give it each week, which is why this roadmap doesn't put dates on anything. What moves people forward is steady practice on one path, and building projects rather than collecting courses.
Is this roadmap generated by AI?
